THE STAMPEDERS are recognized as one of Canada's top rock groups of the early '70's. A household name in their own country, The Stampeders left their home base of Calgary Alberta in 1966, and went on to tour extensively in Canada, the U.S., Europe and South America.

In 1972, they won JUNO AWARDS (Canada's equivalent to THE GRAMMY) for 'BEST GROUP', 'BEST SINGLE' ("Sweet City Woman"), 'BEST PRODUCER' and 'BEST COMPOSER'. Between 1971 and 1976, they recorded ten albums, with many reaching gold and platinum status. Many of their songs entered the Top 30 in the U.S.  and twelve (12) of their singles charted top-ten in Canada. Some of their hits include "Carry Me", "Wild Eyes", Devil You", "Minstrel Gypsy", "Oh My Lady", "Hit The Road Jack", "New Orleans", "Ramona", "Keep Me Running Wild", "Playin' In The Band", "Then Came The White Man", "Monday Morning Choo Choo", "Julia Get Up", "Me And My Stone", "Johnny Lightning",  ...

In 1992, The Stampeders officially reunited. This site will give you a chance to experience The Stampeders, listen to their music and keep abreast of any future developments.
